I used to be a girl who was very shy and timid with a very low self-esteem but ever since I became anmambassador for the Zane Women’s Empowerment Project, I have learnt how to be confident. Through the community outreach programs I lead, we have been able to reach many young women educating them about menstrual hygiene and health. These activities have sharpened my interpersonal skills as well as helped me develop effective communication skills. I am surely not the same person I was 6months ago all thanks to this program. Thank you to Copper RoseZambia for the work you are doing here in Lubombo District, changing women’s lives and making them more aware of their health.Inutu
I have been living in Lubombo my whole life and have never seen any organisation that has come to work here and actively changed the lives of women and young girls like Copper Rose Zambia. This organisation with remarkable young women and men has given hope to the young girls and women in my community that they can achieve anything. They have been able to speak about taboo topics like menstruation and menstrual hygiene practices, a topic only spoken about in whispers, but affects most of the population living in thiscommunity. I have become a small scale entrepreneur making small profits to feed my family. In addition, I have learnt a lot about menstrual health as well as sexual reproductive health andrights that I am able to explain and educate others in my community.Buumba Ngulube
