My name is Inutu. I am 22years old. I came to know about Copper Rose Zambia in July 2016 when I saw a local advertisement in the community looking for 10 Candidates to participate as ambassadors in a women empowerment project called Zane Women’s Empowerment Project. I was very happy to be selected among the many that were shortlisted because I knew this would be a good start to building my leadership skills amongst other things. It’s been 6 months since this project began and I would like to say that it has been a life changing experience. I used to be a girl who was very shy and timid with a very low self-esteem but ever since I became an ambassador for the Zane Women’s Empowerment Project, I have learnt how to be confident and. Through the community outreach programs I lead, we have been able to reach many young women educating them about menstrual hygiene and health. These activities have sharpened my interpersonal skills as well as helped me develop effective communication skills. I am surely not the same person I was 6months ago all thanks to this program. Thank you to Copper Rose Zambia for the work you are doing here in Lubombo District, changing women’s lives and making them more aware of their health.
