The USAID Controlling HIV Epidemic for Key and Underserved Populations (CHEKUP) 1 is a 5 years Project being led by CIDRZ and implemented in partnership with the Young Women Christian Association of Zambia (YWCA), Tackle Africa, Pact Inc., D-tree, Key Populations Civil Society Organizations (KP-CSOs) and Copper Rose Zambia (CRZ) in Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Chingola, Luanshya, Mufulira, Chililabombwe, Solwezi, and Livingstone districts. Out of these Districts Copper Rose Zambia is leading activity implementation in 5 Districts namely: Lusaka, Kitwe, Chingola, Mufulira and Luanshya. The goal of this Program is to improve the health outcomes of Zambians by preventing new HIV infections among priority and key populations most at risk of acquiring HIV, namely adolescent girls and young women, adolescent boys and young men, people living with HIV, mobile populations, discordant couples, and key populations. 

Copper Rose Zambia Scope Of Work

Objective 1

Identify and reach individuals at high risk of HIV infections in communities with high impact HIV prevention services. 

Objective 2

Utilize targeted testing strategies to find and link newly identified beneficiaries to HIV treatment and support services.

Objective 3

Build capacity or communities and leverage community structures to implement evidence based, high impact services.

Objective 4

Build capacity of local implementing partners to provide targeted, evidence-based HIV prevention services in line with USAID strategies.
