2022…Ready? Set. Go!

We kicked off the year with our staff planning meeting in the month of January where we set the tone for the rest of the year and all our projections. We realize that starting the year with a planning exercise helps staff to push themselves forward. The staff planning exercise was very important for us as we believe that this will help us have well defined goals and a clear direction on how they will be achieved. The organization has experienced a lot of growth in the past years and continues to experience this growth in this New Year. We’re excited about what this growth looks like and what it means for us as an organization. For our planning meeting to be effective, each department took time to discuss their overall goals and what we intend to achieve for the year. It is essential for departments to understand that all the work that is done in various departments feeds into the overall goal of the organization. Our CEO, Dr. Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma constantly emphasized on her “WHY” theory. Why do we do the work that we do? Why is this work important to us and the people around us? Until we understand our “why” it becomes difficult for us to know the measures we need to put in place to achieve our goals.

Planning looks like a very simple process, but its importance cannot be overemphasized. Any organization that wants to better equip themselves to prepare for the future must undergo the planning exercise. Planning helps us as an organization to focus and unite staff members towards achieving a common goal and understanding the role that each staff member plays in achieving this goal. When everyone works together, it becomes much easier to manage time as well as resources. Planning also helps to clearly define how the organization intends to achieve their goal and the specific steps that need to be taken during this process.

We’re excited about what the year has in store but more so what the future holds for us as the Copper Rose Zambia Team. We are excited to share this journey with you all as we begin a new phase of amazing work for the year 2022.

We will continue to remind every young person that they are beautiful, valuable and empowered!

Happy New Year ☺

This is necessary for the organization. I really like how CRZ has impacted many lives in the recent years and this kind of planning gives me confidence that better days are coming.
I can’t wait to be part of the team
